In a conversation, two persons or more are having several talks. The listener has to decode the speaker’s meaning in his talk. This decoding process may take several steps because the listener has to understand the context of the speech. Sometime, the conversation includes the indirectness of the speaker. It means that the speaker doesn’t say directly what he means. In the other way he says something else. To decode the indirectness of the speech act, one has to know the background of the speaker. The closer of the listener-speaker, the decoding process can be easier.
